Edition Graphite
Samsung U900 Soul in Black is Orange Exclusive, Samsung Soul BlackThe Orange mobile phone network has secured the exclusive launch of the new Samsung Soul Black in the UK, this means that consumers will only be able to buy this new colour variant alongside the networks contract tariffs and possibly on pay as you go should they decide to launch the phone on the prepay system. The original graphite edition of the phone is the device that is open to all UK networks and has already been picked up by all but one, the 3G dedicated network 3 Mobile has plans to launch this new handset in the next few weeks. Another colour variant of the Samsung Soul was launched as an exclusive with the CPW group some weeks ago, the difference is that as independent retailers the group is able to offer their exclusive Samsung Sou Silver on all of the networks they connect to making it a far more attractive proposition for consumers trying to find a good deal. The black edition of the Samsung Soul offers exactly the same great features as the current Graphite and Silver models but adds a sleek black finish to the exterior casing. The U900 Soul is a handset from the award winning Samsung Ultra range, and is sure you make an impact through its stylish good looks and sophisticated technology. This is a handset that captures the market need for a handset that offers a wide range of hi-spec multimedia functions that is also easy on the eye. Stylishly presented in a new black casing the U900 Soul also boasts a 16million colour dynamic TFT screen. Functionality wise, the mobile phone boasts camera specifications more at home on a digital camera including a 5-mega pixel auto focus lens with image stabiliser and facial recognition software enabling users to produce fantastic quality images to share with their family and friends. The Samsung Soul Black also includes a highly innovative ‘Magic Touch’ navigation system which changes based on the feature currently being operating. Additionally, the Samsung U900 Soul has one of the most advanced HSDPA’s around, not to mention a sound quality advanced by a Bang & Olufsen ICE power digital amplifier. The Samsung U900 will definitely be the life and Soul of the party. Although initially released as a network exclusive it is likely that the Samsung Soul black will eventually find its way onto other UK networks, this has recently happened to the purple edition of hte Samsung G600 purple edition which started life as an Orange exclusive but is now offered on O2 in the UK. It is whether or not a consumer can wait for the handset to complete its exclusive launch period or would rather 'jump the gun' and connect to Orange. Not all exclusive handsets ever make it away from the original network, they are tied with the network for the life of the handset. Samsung Monte Joins Vodafone - Samsung S5620 MonteThe Samsung S5620 is the first Samsung Monte phone to be released, this latest model has now been launched on the Vodafone network after initially being released on Virgin Mobile and Orange in earlier this month. Since then the Samsung S5620 Monte has gone on to be picked up on O2 as well as being made available as a SIM Free phone and on the Pay As You Go scheme. The Samsung Monte (pronounced 'Monty') is the very latest touch screen phone from the manufacturer who has opted for an attractive curved design to the exterior housing rather than the flat, squared designs of many current touch screen phones. Available in both Silver on Black and Orange on Graphite colour schemes this new Samsung phone features a 3.2 mega pixel camera with smile detection, 3G support, WiFi and HSDPA for fast internet downloads but the main selling point of the Samsung Monte is its social networking integration with support for most websites. The home screen can be personalised with shortcuts to your favourite social networking sites and widgets to your favourite applications, the main touch screen measures 3 inches and there is also a multimedia player and support for geo-tagging on your photos. The first of the colour schemes to be made available is the Black/Silver edition with the new Orange/Graphite being a Vodafone network exclusive handset for a limited time period, the silver and orange colours relate to strips of colour down the sides of the phone which look great in contrast to the darker black and graphite of the housing of the phone. Samsung has been busy releasing new model this year with the Samsung Wave (also known as the Samsung S8500) breaking new ground with a 'Super' AMOLED display alongside the manufacturers new software platform; Bada. Other models include the Samsung Galaxy Portal which is an Android powered device with a similar touch screen and camera specification as well as the Samsung Diva which is the manufacturers latest fashion phone. Competition against the new Samsung Monte comes in the form of the LG Pop, Nokia 5800 and Nokia 5530 which all offer a similar sized touch screen experience. Keeping the same size screen but with a slightly better camera resolution is the Nokia X6, Sony Ericsson Vivaz, HTC HD Mini and HTC legend. The Samsung Monte S5620 is also known as the Player Star 2 in other markets and is currently being backed by a substantial TV advertising campaign aimed at lovers of social networking, further networks are expected to pick up this latest model as well as the orange/graphite edition after its initial Vodafone exclusive period has ended. About the Author The Samsung Monte and new Samsung Wave are two of the most recent phones to be released by the manufacturer. |
